The expanded, remodeled, Dahl Arts Center is finally open to the public. And it is a breath-taking triumph. Well over a thousand supporters turned out January 17 to celebrate the new building, and three powerful new exhibits.

Lightpaintings by Stephen Knapp are on display in the Senator Adelstein and Lynda Clark Gallery through March, 8.

The Art of Personal Adornment is a juried exhibit of regional artists in the Inez and Milton Shaver Gallery through March 29.

Green Man Resurrection is an exhibit of sculpture and paintings by Black Hills Native Son Ross Rudel, in the Ruth Brennan Gallery through April 19.

The expanded Dahl complex is the result of over a decade of work by countless supporters, but a special acknowledgement should be given to Director Linda Anderson, who, having been host to the gala opening night, must now turn her attention to keeping the doors open in the face of state budget cuts.
